Recently I created cast glass panels roughly 18" x 18" x 3/4" made from murrine suspended in clear glass. I experimented with panels years ago and I'm excited to revisit this format. I'm intending these as individual art pieces as well for architectural work and larger-scale installations like hotel receptions. I'm still exploring lighting, mounting and making new panels with color and detail, but this one is a great prototype to test ideas. Two are shown here--right out of the kiln, mounted in a color-changing lightbox and mocked up in a hotel reception setting. I'll be making more panels in a range of colors this spring.
